THIN System

One brass part, tens of thousands of valid fixtures.

The original THIN Suspension was designed by Peter Bristol for Juniper in 2016: a light reduced to a thin bar of brass. What I built is the system around it. I designed the Primaries and Multiples expansions and adapted the Shared Task lamp with grommet-mounted controls, and underneath all of them put a single modular component and the configuration logic that turns it into tens of thousands of valid fixtures instead of tens of thousands of headaches.

The bet was that a catalog this deep shouldn't need a person to run it. It doesn't. A specifier configures a fixture and it resolves on its own, the bill of material generated and synced to the ERP, no engineer touching it unless the request is genuinely custom. Made to order, out the door in one to two weeks.

The design question underneath was who the modularity is for: us, cheaper to make, or them, easier to specify. The system holds both at once. Most catalogs bury this kind of structure. Here it is the product.
