Works in brass, electronics, and bills of materials.
Most of my career has been spent in the space where those two things overlap: turning abstract ideas into real products, and building the systems that make those products possible at scale. I'm drawn to problems that require both creative and technical thinking, and I get particular satisfaction from finding the underlying structure in something complex and making it legible to everyone who has to work with it.
If it's not beautiful and useful, we're not done yet.
I run design, product development, and marketing at Juniper, a high-end lighting manufacturer that grew from a couple of great designs to a global brand with an 85,000-variant catalog and a $10M+ product portfolio. We design and manufacture electronics in Armenia, machine and patina brass in Connecticut, and throw awesome parties at our Soho showroom.
The best work happens when design, engineering, and operations actually talk to each other, and when the systems behind the product are as well-designed as the product itself.
I'm also pursuing an Executive MBA at Yale: partly to learn from a talented and diverse cohort, and partly to see how these product lessons translate to other problems.
